Clearway IS NOT A LAW FIRM and DOES NOT PROVIDE LEGAL ADVICE, we are simply a tool to connect qualified lawyers with prospective clients in need of legal representation.
Clearway Law is not a law firm and is simply a technology company. It is unaffiliated directly with any law firm.
Clearway plans to follow the law society rules (even though they are not our regulator) and will not practice law or provide legal advice.
Our company is simply a service for lawyers and law firms to allow them to better serve their clients.
We offer a fixed fee marketing service for lawyers. It is not tied to fees paid by clients and we do not market a “ law firm” or lawyers collectively.
Instead, we assist lawyers to bring in clients to their own practices separately and independently.
There is a law society rule that lawyers “shall make legal services available to the public in an efficient and convenient way.” Many lawyers do not do this. They have to have websites, answer phone calls, or get back to clients.
As such, they are violating 4.1-1 of the Law Society of Ontario rules. Clearway Law was designed to help lawyers meet this rule.
Data collection is not allowed on this website without written consent.
Clearway is designed to assist lawyers and legal consumers in Canada, China, the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Other jurisdictions may be included among our service areas at our discretion and as our scope of services and relevant law permits.
Any subscription fee charged to the lawyers does not impact the client’s bill. Further, we do not get paid a percentage of the lawyer’s fees. Also, our fees are paid to us regardless of whether the lead becomes a client or not.
Clearway Law is mainly an online marketplace for legal services and initial screening agents. We will not represent or suggest that we will act for the client.
Our intake team works hard to try to find an appropriate lawyer or law firm to assist someone with a legal issue. Most of the time this is a sole practitioner who can’t afford to properly market their law firm.
However, they are happy to pay subscription fees to Clearway Law.
The Law Society of Ontario said: “A lawyer may assist in making legal services available by participating in… lawyer referral services and by engaging in programmes of public information, education or advice concerning legal matters.”
A lawyer’s listing in this paid website, in no way, suggests or implies a qualitative superiority to other Canadian lawyers that are not listed in this Canadian lawyer directory.
Additionally, a lawyer’s past success or results are not necessarily indicative of future results and that the amount (if any) recovered and other litigation outcomes will vary according to the facts and merits of each individual case.
Hiring a lawyer is an important decision and the selection process should not be taken lightly.
No decision should be based solely upon newspaper, radio, internet (Including biographies and ads on this website) or other advertisements.
Perform your own due diligence to determine the proper ability, knowledge, and experience of the lawyer/law firm to handle your case.
If you want to get to know our values, please read our blogs once you are finished reading these terms of service.

In no event is the use of the services permitted by those under the age of 18. If you are using the services on behalf of any entity, then you are agreeing to the terms on behalf of that entity.
You are agreeing that you have the authority to do so. Please note that we do not remove lawyer profiles. There are countless precedents that show that lawyer directories do not have to remove lawyer profiles when asked.
Ratings are also protected by free speech rights.

If your payment method fails or your account is past due, Clearway Law reserves the right to either suspend or terminate your Premium Services.
